Just watched a man put up posters for his missing wife. I just looked at him and started crying. Please help if you live in or around the Anaheim/Fullerton area. (Taken with Instagram at Fullerton Metrolin Amtrak (FUL))

 A 72-year-old woman who went missing from her family’s Fullerton home was found dead of an apparent suicide Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The body of Hongyuan Li, who is believed to have walked away from her daughter’s home in the 600 block of West Valencia Mesa Drive on Tuesday morning, was found a day later, several blocks away, Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich said.

Li, who had been in the United States for about a month, did not speak English and was unfamiliar with the area. Her daughter told police that she had been depressed partly from being in a foreign location and took medication.

Investigators used a bloodhound and a helicopter in an attempt to locate Li on Wednesday, after an officer worked through the night passing out fliers.

Her body was discovered by gardeners working in an overgrown area near the North Justice Center in Fullerton, several blocks from the family’s home, Goodrich said.
